Aakash Tablet Release Date
India’s cheapest tablet called Aakash is soon to hit market. Everyone is waiting in anticipation for this amazingly affordable tablet. According to sources, the Aakash tablet release date is to be in the month of November and is to be sold at Rs. 2999 commercially. The basic version of Aakash tab would be useful especially for students and it will be tagged with Aircel, telecommunication service provider that will provide SIM cards for internet accessing through the 3G network.
The Aakash tablet launch date was on 5 October 2011 but it is expected to hit the stores this November. Suneet Singh Tuli, chief executive of DataWind said that they had planned to launch the commercial variant of the device somewhere in late-November and for that they were expecting around 100,000 customers per month. He said that though the price would be a bit higher, the tablet would be competitive to anything that is available around the world. They also planned to have an alternative manufacturing plant to help the company increase the tablets production.

The Aakash tablet release has been officially announced by the Indian government and with Ubislate 7 its trade name. Developed by Datawind in collaboration with IIT Rajasthan and NME-ICT, the tablet will sport a 7-inch display (480 × 800 pixels). While for students it will be offered at $ 35, in stores it will be available at a higher price. As it is being said that the tablet will be available in store within 60 days from its launch, there seem to be 2 more months to buy the tablet.
